Tonight is going to be a little bitter sweet.  A few months ago I applied to be on the new season of the Real World, got some call backs, went to NYC to meet with producers, and ended up not hearing anything back after that. I wasn’t crazy enough for reality tv. I think i’m ok with that. . . but tonight is the premiere of REAL WORLD : DC . . . the season I was auditioning for!

That’s the cast! The previews already look super juicy and drama filled! Yay! Hopefully I’ll get home from my mad search for a New Year’s Eve outfit in time to watch it. Is it just me, or does nothing at the mall appeal to you? I’m an EXPRESS girl. . . for the simple reason that there just aren’t any other stores I like. Last night I tried SO HARD to like SOMETHING there for tomorrow night and nothing was talking to me. So as of now, i’m outfit-less.

If you’re making NYE plans . . . come to our party at Hardware in WB! NO COVER all night and we’re giving away a trip to Jamaica!

It looks like airport security is going to move forward with full body scans. Yup, they’ll be able to see EVERYTHING under your clothes. 11 airports in the US have them as of now and the TSA has 150 more on order. Maybe this will be the one big push to get a lot of us to the gym. Strangers seeing us through full body scans!

As much as I love having a couple days off for holidays and vaca, there is something really comforting about having your own car back, your bed, and being back at work. Ahhhhh. It was a great few days in Arizona! I LOVE IT THERE. The constant sunshine, the gorgeous homes, and of course really good times with family I don’t see much! We fit in a little sight seeing too! Over the course of 5 days . . . I managed to see a real gold mine, hug a cactus, see a real cowboy wearing assless chaps, get into a heated Christmas competition of family feud for wii, make gingerbread houses for a competition that my mom and I lost, meet my mom’s boyfriends daughters, sing drunken karaoke, become addicted to a game meant for my 11 year old cousin, have the BEST edamame ever,go to the most amazing church with a rockin Christmas Eve concert, and get matching tattoos with my mom.  Yes, it was an eventful few days in Arizona. I can’t WAIT to go back! Here’s my holiday in photos . . .

SPEEDO FUN RUN

Don’t be surprised if you see a bunch of Speedo wearing runners racing thru downtown Berwick this Saturday.  It’s the 1st Annual Berwick Holiday Speedo Fun Run.  The run starts @ Crickets Bar & Grill in Berwick @ 1pm and benefits the Susan G.  What do you get when you combine McDonald’s Chocolate Shake, barbecue sauce and Chicken McNuggets with vanilla vodka? The McNuggetini, the drink that its creators say combines dinner, dessert and booze.  Drink up and stay thirsty my friends!

We’ve been talking about our infamous Christmas card and I got a couple emails asking to see it. Well, i’m not totally sure where I was when someone taught the “How to use a fax machine/scanner” seminar, so I don’t know how to make that happen for you .  .  . but this is the photo we used on it!

. . . and it said . . . Don we now our gay apparel! Happy Holidays! lol . . . don’t you feel like we just sent you one now? Come on, you know you do. We searched for the most obnoxious Christmas clothes we could possibly find. And . . . VOILA! If you have pics from Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties . . . send them! I’ll post them! They’re my favorite! I wish someone would invite me to one! Hint, hint!

Happy Holidays Friends! I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but i’m actually not going “home” for Christmas this year. For the past few years, my mom and I have traveled for the holidays . . . last year we did VEGAS . . .(yes, Vegas for Christmas . . . trust me, getting drunk on yard stick margaritas on Christmas Eve and getting sick in the hotel at 4pm was not what I thought I’d be doing for Christmas either, but hey, you live once.) and this year we’re going to Arizona. I’ve never been before, but I have a bunch of family that live there and we’re spending Christmas with them. I’m pretty excited to get out of this bitter cold and spend some time with family I don’t get to see much. They have a bunch of really cool traditions for Christmas (including a ginger bread house making contest – yay, a fancy night out in a limo seeing Chrismas lights, and of course mass too) and I’m really looking forward to Wednesday night . . . when my mom and I get MATCHING TATTOOS! Yup, that’s right. She doesn’t have any and I only have 1 . . . so we’re getting matching tattoos on our wrists.  We were invited to a tattoo party and I’ve been trying to get her to get one for a while. We almost did it drunk in Vegas last year, but she couldn’t decide on something and I felt bad for pressuring her, so we ditched the idea and went for another drink. I’ll post pics next week! So, I won’t be on the radio next week, but I hope you and your family have a happy, safe, and fabulous holiday!

Since I won’t be around next week, I’m having a little get together at my apartment tomorrow with my girlies. I’m mixing up some Christmas cocktails and baking reindeer cupcakes! Ooh those are going to be so cute. This is what i’m aiming for . . . (except, i’m making Rudolph . . . so they’ll have red noses)

I’m planning on bringing them in for everyone at work. I’ll try and get a pic of my final reindeer! (Fingers crossed. We all know i’m not great in the kitchen) BUT, I am a decent bartender and on the menu tomorrow is . . . Mint Chocolate Martinis and a delish adult beverage called Kiss me under the mistletoe! Mmm! Now let’s just hope I can get my place cleaned and bags packed and pull all of this off! Ha! XO Have a good weekend and be careful in this yucky snow!

Get your mind out of the gutter. I’m talking getting bangs again. I haven’t REALLY had them since I was a kid and the only reason I had them THEN, was because I absolutely HATED my widow’s peak. When I was 11 however, I had no idea how to take care of my wavy hair or make it look pretty. So my bangs were wavy, unattractive, and horrid. I couldn’t wait for them to grow out. Over the years I started to do the whole side bang thing . . . but now it’s all just grown out and i’m contemplating making what could possibly turn out to be the worst mistake ever . . . chopping my mane and getting bangs. This picture of Jennifer Garner inspired me. Look how awesome she looks with bangs!

. . . i’ve been wanting a change . . . ahh! I’ve been pretty impulsive lately. There’s a pretty good chance i’ll be coming back from my holiday vacation with no visible forehead.

Here’s the cougar who claims she taught Tiger how to be an animal in bed.

Theresa Rogers, 48, is the latest of the 14 women who have come forward with steamy accounts of sex romps with Tiger Woods — but her claim to fame is that she taught the 33-year-old golf great everything he knows in the sack.

“She just wanted to be the woman who schooled Tiger in the bedroom,” a pal reportedly said of the much older woman.

ROLLER DERBY BENEFIT

The WB/Scranton Roller Radicals stopped by to promote this weekend’s benefit Roller Bout @ Skate-a-way, Blackman St., Wilkes-Barre.
Doors open @ 5:30, Sunday Dec 20.  All money raised goes directly to the Helpline for Valley Santa.

We dressed Snuggy as Santa and sent him out with a remote controlled Fart Machine proving that the holidays are a real gas!
