I was in transit from the craft store (try to make a freakin disco stick for my costume) to Arena to watch the game and MISSED Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. The second I got home I was searching all over for this video. Youtube is amazing. Period.

Whether you love or hate the Yankees, there's something amazing about NYC as a whole. In college I spent most weekends partying in the city . . . stumbling out of nightclubs at 4am . . . just living that crazy young life . . . and this song brings back a lot of MY pride. Love the sound.

This is going to be a great series. 1 & 1. Can't wait for tomorrow to dress up for Halloween and see who comes back to win it!

“THIS IS IT”

We went to see the Michael Jackson movie last nite.  Lots of thought running thru my head while I watched the greatest performer of our generation.  It’s sad to think of what could’ve been.  Michael’s voice sound amazing.  This was more than I was expectiong for someone who hadn’t performed live in such a long time, and that was medicated to the extent that Michael was.  It was sad to watch at times, the talent, the control, the way he seemed to have his fingers on every element of this show, all wasted.  We get a peek into what could’ve been one of the greatest live shows ever.  The film will only be in theatres for 2 weeks, so get out and see it on the big screen.  You won’t be disappointed.

 GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

I was born and raised in Rhode Island - which by birth rite makes me a Red Sox fan . . . but once they're out - I root whoever has to play the Yankees. It makes me really happy that our home team got to shut up those cocky Yankees last night! Every single facebook status last night had something to do with the game . . . and most of them were YANKEE fans saying something like "that's ok, let them think they have a chance." That's the bad attitude that Yankee fans cop when they're the underdog.

Well you know what, the PHILLIES BROUGHT IT! This was my favorite moment of the entire game . . . the EFFORTLESS PRO catch Cliff Lee made behind his back! I remember playing softball in high school and making a couple plays that left me thinking "how the heck did that happen so naturally?" . . . but whoa, it's like he barely even knew the ball made it to his glove. I could watch this replay all day.

Talent.

So again tonight . . . Go Phillies! :)

These 2 mental giants from Iowa can really think on their feet.  They used a black Magic Marker to create “disguises” so they wouldn’t be recognized
when they tried breaking into an apartment.  Want to take a guess how this story ended up?

IS HE A JEALOUS LOSER?

Is your guy prone to jealousy? Does he question your every move? If so, here’s how to tame him.

When jealousy rears its ugly head, it’s pretty difficult to get it to disappear again! But with these tried and tested tips, you should be able to get your relationship back on the trusting track.

Tip #1 Ego-booster

All male egos need reassurance once in a while. Come to think of, ALL egos need the same attention! Remind him that he is the one you want to be with and all other guys in your life are just friends. As frustrating as it may be to remind him how you feel, everyone needs a little reminder from time to time. Jealousy stems from insecurity so he’s probably just feeling a little self-conscious about where he stands with you at the moment.

Tip #2 Mirror Mirror

Show him his own reflection. And no, we don’t mean put a mirror in front of him and tell him how gorgeous he’s looking! Tell him how he is acting and how his actions are making you feel. Hopefully this soft-core approach will help the two of you talk things over and resolve the situation. If this soft approach doesn’t work on your guy, the more hard-core approach would be to play him at his own game. Let’s see how he feels when you go insane every time he looks at another girl, talks to another girl or generally breathes in the vicinity of another human being!

Tip #3 Glass Houses

You know how the saying goes — “People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones?” Well it applies in this situation. If you’re the jealous type who throws a fit when he’s merely talking to another girl, how do you expect him to be different? If you can change your attitude and try to tame your jealous monster, he may do the same. Lead by example.

If you try these tips and the bf is still a shade of green, there’s only one thing left to do — ditch him! There are plenty of guys out there who are confident in themselves and don’t care who you’re friends with!

Defining Twilight

I never thought I’d see the day where people would actually want to study for a standardized test. Thanks to the newest strain of Twilight mania, I think we’ve finally reached that point. Brian Leaf, M.A., who has prepared thousands of students in the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT has created Defining Twilight, a vocabulary workbook that will help you prepare for your big test by referencing words in Twilight!

How is this possible you ask? Good question, I asked the same thing. Defining Twilight gives you vocab words that can be found in your Twilight novel. You define the word in question after reading the page where it is in your book (don’t worry, they give you page numbers!) and then check your answer with the correct one given in the workbook.

The book also is chock full of analogies and synonyms which are always on the SATs. Use the workbook to test yourself on the synonym of “myriad” or the analogy, “Sober is to solemn as…” with all the answers being words that actually appear in the novel!

I will use any excuse to flip through Twilight again, even if that reason is studying! And don’t worry, Defining New Moon is coming out in November, so you can get a whole new batch of vampire vocab!

Go Phillies! This week would be way more interesting if the Red Sox could have pulled something off, but a Yanks/Phillies series is going to be nice since we’re in Yanks/Phillies territory. Sucks for them that they’re going to be playing on Halloween. I wonder if people will dress up at the stadium?! That’d be interesting to see.

Last night I committed to my costume and starting picking up accessories. I still have tons of things get to complete the look, but i’m getting there. I also made an appointment at Rejuvenessence in Plains w/ Kellianne to get my makeup done. (I really have no idea how to apply false eye lashes and figured, why not let a professional do the whole thing, and do it right?!) She’s crazy awesome with makeup. They even have sessions there where they teach you how to apply your makeup the right way for your face/eyes. Visit nepaspa.com. Of course i’ll post pics on Monday. :)

HERE IT IS!

It’s another new clip from “New Moon” which hits theatres Nov 20.  Bella & Edward get hot ‘n heavy here….

UNNATURAL FEARS

clown02
The clowns from the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus invade our studio tomorrow morning. I’m not looking forward to it one bit. Clowns creep me out. I think it has something to do with the painted on smile. They’re laughing on the outside, and yes, crying on the inside. I’ll be a trooper and help promote the circus…just keep these clowns away from me!

That’s my unnatural fear…what’s yours?
We had a ton of calls on this.

*bodies of water
*bridges
*Quaker Oats guy
*frogs
*cotton balls
*touching cloth with tongue
*big pieces of chicken
*popsicle sticks
*wooden spoons
*snakes (bad things always happen)
*storm drains
*people walking behind me
*anyone walking on stilts
