John Mayer lost a bet with TMZ over his criminal record.  He challenged the editors to find his mugshot photo from a 2001 arrest for driving with a suspended license.  Note to John Mayer:  Never challenge TMZ, they have sources everywhere.  John now has to fork over $25,000 to TMZ’s editor Harvey Levin’s favorite charity.

I’m all about the mini road trips. Yesterday my friend Tanya and I drove to CT to see Taylor Swift in concert. Can I just say … I love her. She seems SO genuine and you can tell she really LOVES performing. The crowd screamed SO loud for SUCH a long time … it was pretty amazing.  I couldn’t stop thinking about how great she is. I really think she is an awesome role model for young girls. She doesn’t dance sexy or sing about sexy things. There’s no chance of a nip slip because she’s always dressed really appropriately … and … her tour is the FEARLESS TOUR … and she encourages the audience to be strong, be kind, and do what makes them happy. There were a bunch of scene changes with positive messages in them too. So not only she is sweet sweet sweet as a performer, but she proves herself to be someone great for young people to look up to.

What was also pretty amazing, or umm, tough, is DRINKING at a Taylor Swift concert. That was a challenge, I’m not gonna lie. There was so many young girls there … probably there seeing their first concert EVER … and here we are … drinking. I’m sorry but concerts and having a couple drinks just seem like they go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I also got to meet American Idol’s … Kellie Pickler! She opened up for Taylor and geez … THAT GIRL WEARS LIKE 7 inch heels. I can barely BARE to walk in 3 or 4 inchers … she’s got a good 7 or 8 inches going on.

I was really hoping to spot Jon and Kate Plus 8’s Jon Gosselin ( he hangs out at the Mohegan Sun in CT ALL the time) but that was a no go. I think it’s his weekend with the kids because Kate is on a press tour. (Is it pathetic that I am trying to master their parenting schedule?)

(Yes, I know, the cute guy is clearly not Taylor. His name is Mike and he is super talented.  He stuck his tongue out at us. So now we love him. )

WHAT I DID ON MY SUMMER VACATION

What did you do over the Summer?  I bet you spent some time @ the beach…maybe Ocean City, Long Beach Island or AC.  Some of you kicked back and hung by your pool or on your deck.  Keith Bast of Hazleton, a Pleasant Valley HS teacher spent 2 months on a recumbent bicycle pedaling 4,272 miles across country.  Keith was in the studio to tell us all about it.

 VICK’S EAGLES DEBUT

There were only a few protests at the Linc last nite for Michael Vick’s debut as an Eagle.  The crowd actually gave him a “standing O” when he first entered the field.  That of course will chance once he throws his first pick or fumbles the ball.  The Eagles first regular season home game is September 20 vs. New Orleans.

PLYMOUTH KEILBASA FESTIVAL

This is the weekend for the 6th Annual Keilbasa Fest in Plymouth.  The parade starts @ 9am.  Sue and I were asked to judge the Keilbasa Contest, Saturday @ 1pm.  If you love the rings of spicy meat, this is the place to be in NEPA this weekend.  See you there!

Cheaters suck. I’m not one to seek revenge, but calling out a cheater by name on the radio certainly feels really good.

I have a quick question… Are you a man hater? Because the way you reported the Chris Brown story would of made Stalin proud. I find it interesting you left out the fact that when he “slammed her against a wall” she assaulted him first.  And in the california incident she almost caused him to wreck which could of killed them both. Their is only two things he is guilty of. 1) Over reacting 2) dating a violent woman. If Chris Brown deserves to be punished so does Rihanna. Shame on you for distorting the truth to suit whatever deep seated prejudices you hold.

Joey B our insider friend from People magazine called the show for our weekly chat on celeb news.  Here’s what she delivered this week:

Kate Gosselin is this week’s cover story.  She’s “mortified” at the prospect of the kids meeting Jon’s girlfriend Hailey–she thinks it’s too soon.  Kate says she feels like “it’s a 15 yr old I’m getting divorced from.”  Kate also says “The worst time of day is when the kids are in bed, and I have no one to go over things with.”  She says there will be no romance anytime soon:  “I barely have enough emotional energy for my kids, let along anyone else…I could be alone for the rest of my life, let’s be honest.  Where am I going to find someone who wants to enter this weird world?”

LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian went public for the first time.  They played golf and went to a concert.   Joey reported that Eddie has filed for divorce.  He and his wife Brandi double-dated with LeAnn and her husband Dean while Eddie and LeAnn made their movie.  Made their move is more like it!

Jennifer Aniston and Gerald Butler were spotted cozying up over cocktails in NYC.  “They were hand-in-hand and sat very close,” a source says of the duo.  Jen’s rep denies this.  A source close to the actor tells Scoop of the relationship, “They’re affectionate, but it’s pretty casual.”

THE WHEEL OF RAW EGGS

It was Snuggy vs. the Wheel of Raw Eggs.  All week we gave you the chance to guess whether Snuggy could drink the eggs AND be able to keep it down.  One spin of the wheel determined that Snuggy had to drink 6 raw eggs.  The outcome wasn’t pretty, but Snuggy made 5 of you VERY happy!  If you were 1 of the 5 that thought Snuggy would fail, make sure you give us a call to claim your W-W-E tickets. A new survey says women are more likely to buy from a less attractive sales girl than a hot one.  According to a PhD researcher young women feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful, and the reaction to an attractive sales chick is to avoid them and not buy the product.  Funny, all of our callers disagreed.  In fact, some said they were more likely to buy from the hot chick that cares about her appearance!  What do you think?

THE DOUBLE DOWN

 Here it is!  The new sandwich from KFC, the Double Down.  Who needs bread when you can have 2 crispy pieces of fried chicken on the outside!  Inside the “sandwich” you’ll find 2 slices of bacon, melted swiss & pepper jack cheese & the Colonel’s sauce.  Sound good?  You’ll have to wait.  The Double Down is only being test marketed in Nebraska & Rhode Island!  Wonder what my surgeon will say when I ask him if this could be part of my “heart-healthy” diet!

 According to a gossip column in the NY Post, American Idol Season 7 champ DAVID COOK is single again.  He apparently broke things off with model Kimberly Johnston.  Says the Post, “He said he didn’t want to see her anymore,” said our source. “He still refuses to talk to her. So that’s what’s cooking with dear David, who has refused to pay any of her expenses since they met.”  Cook’s rep declined to discuss his personal life.
