Whether you are a huge Jon and Kate Plus 8 fan or if you have just recently jumped on board amid all of the divorce rumors and drama … it’s definitely the FIRST THING everyone has said to me as I walked into work this morning. Last night Jon and Kate finally admitted they are splitting and filing divorce papers. It’s sad. It sucks that they have 8 kids and couldn’t make it work. But like Kate said, people change and things change. Last night the roles were totally reversed. She was the hero and he was such the BUTT. I’ve always been a Kate fan, but last night Kate-haters crossed over because for the first episode in a long time, she was real.

So friends … what’s next for the show? I’m thinking a title change is in order … Just Kate Raising 8?

Here I go being one of those people that intiates conversation with some commentary on the weather. Seemingly no depth. For the love though, this is the grossest summer season so far … rainy, cloudy, and miserable. It’s hard to find the motivation to wear a cute outfit or put yourself together in the morning when it’s so dreary outside. (You’d probably laugh at me if you saw what i’ve been coming into work wearing lately) Today my ensemble consists of good jeans, flip flops, a navy t, and some undone wavy mousse scrunched hair. That hair SCREAMS “I didn’t feel like blow drying!” Eh, it’s nasty out, that’s my excuse.

It was a nice weeked, full of BLASTS from the past. I embrace them, although it’s pretty crappy to realize I lost touch with people who meant so much to me at some point, but as my mom would say, “That’s life.” She throws the whole “That’s life” crap in my face all the time, but at the end of the day, she’s right. Life is pretty much a series of events, people, and moments that shape who we are. That’s life.

Summer is my favorite time to be working in radio. SO MANY concerts come through the area during the summer and we’ve got some great interviews lined up over the next couple of months. This weekend … POISION and DEF LEPPARD! I’m totally transforming myself into the best ROCK OF LOVE TRASH I can possibly be. I’m pretty freakin pumped to meet Bret Michaels … I need a plan of action. Ha. July 14 is the shining night for me … Nickelback, Hinder, Saving Abel, and Papa Roach … 4 of my favorite bands of all time … 1 night … ahhh … pretty much going to be the best day of my life, to date atleast!

Tonight we find out the fate of JON AND KATE PLUS 8 … they have a big announcement at 9pm and I am impatiently waiting to find out what it is. Divorce? Ending the show? Staying together? Having more kids?! I’m so wrapped up in their lives it’s not even funny. XO Make it a good Monday!
